According to
Amac News: Based on the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan announcement, this figure represents an 18 percent increase in the country’s imports from Iran.
The Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan explained that the country had imported $303 million worth of goods from Iran in the months of January to March last year.
The ministry also added that Pakistan’s imports from Iran in the fourth month of 2024 reached $73.2 million, an increase of 30 percent compared to the same period last year.
It is worth noting that Iran was the eleventh origin of Pakistan’s imports in April 2024. China, the UAE and Saudi Arabia occupied the top three positions in this regard, respectively. Pakistan imported $1.443 billion worth of goods from China this month.
According to the report, in the first 12 months of 2023, Pakistan's total imports from Iran grew by 13 percent compared to the previous year and reached $944 million. In 2022, Pakistan imported over $834 million in goods from Iran.
