The UAE and Japan announced on September 18 this year that negotiations have begun to reach a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which aims to create new partnerships and support the sustainable economic growth of the two countries.
Toshimi Yamazaki, president and founder of Ringo Inc. and executive advisor to the Japan Trade Fair Organizing Committee, said the fair is the largest B2B platform in the region, bringing Japan’s traditional and innovative industries to a dynamic market.
Mei Sakao, chair of the Japan Trade Fair Executive Committee and CEO of MAICO Enterprises Inc., also said that the first round of the fair in 2024 was mainly comprised of exhibitors from Kyoto. The second round will host exhibitors from all over Japan, showcasing a variety of industries including food, beauty, architecture and even space technology.
Rina Fujihashi, a member of the organizing committee, said that the first edition of the fair had 95 exhibitors and about 12,000 visitors. For 2025, the goal is to attract 150 exhibitors and welcome up to 30,000 visitors, including business leaders and enthusiasts of Japanese culture and innovation.
