UAE Human Rights Union (UAHR) said that the country has made significant achievements in the field of human rights. According to this union, these successes are particularly significant in the fields of health, education, social protection, cultural and religious rights, combating discrimination and strengthening justice.

According to Amac News: On the occasion of World Human Rights Day, which is held every year on December 10, UAHR noted the UAE's continuous progress in adopting laws and policies to protect human rights. These laws include measures to support the empowerment of women, the rights of children, the elderly, and the rights of workers, all of which reflect the rule of law.
The union also emphasized the importance of this year's UN theme, "Our Rights, Our Future, Now," which emphasizes building a better future for societies committed to the fundamental principles of human rights and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals on time.
In the past five years, the UAE has passed around 55 laws to strengthen the protection of human rights. These laws include the law to protect victims of domestic violence, combating discrimination and extremism, protecting witnesses, juvenile delinquents, children without parents, and combating human trafficking.
Other laws include the regulation of places of worship for non-Muslims, media regulations, labor relations, the rights of the elderly and the protection of personal data.
In addition, nearly 40 national strategies and policies have been launched, including the UAE National Women's Empowerment Policy 2023-2031, the adoption of the Women, Peace and Security Initiative, the UAE Gender Balance Council Strategy, the Food Security Strategy National" and "UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy".
The UAE has also been recognized internationally for its efforts. This country ranks seventh in the world and first in the region in the 2024 Gender Inequality Index of the United Nations Development Program.
