Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that it has set up a fresh water tank with a capacity of 30 million ampere gallons (MIG) in the city of Hatta.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA, ​​stated that the reservoir project will further increase water flow, increase the volume of the emirate's water reserves to meet growing demand, and improve the efficiency and reliability of water networks to support Dubai's sustainable development.
Altayer explained that DEWA has set up two water reservoirs in Losaili and Ankhali this year and is building a 120 million gallon reservoir in Hessian. Water storage capacity will increase to 1,121 million gallons by the first quarter of 2025.
