Emirates’ Etihad Airways has announced the launch of new flights to Nairobi. The flights, which will operate from Zayed International Airport, will connect the UAE capital with one of Africa’s most dynamic and thriving cities.
Nairobi added to Etihad’s flight network
According to Amac News: Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said the introduction of this new route to Nairobi will help grow the airline’s network and respond to the high demand for travel between the UAE and Kenya.
He stressed that the flight will create valuable opportunities for both destinations and strengthen important relationships between the two regions.
The move comes at a time when the Kenyan tourism industry is expected to reach 3 million visitors by 2024, with a target of 5 million visitors in the coming years.
Etihad Airways’ Nairobi flight follows the airline’s launch of services to Antalya, Bali, Boston, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Mykonos, Nice, Kassem and Thiruvananthapuram in 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, Etihad Airways will continue its expansion, introducing thirteen new destinations.
