Amac News, the center announced that these events were attended by prestigious international and regional companies and brands, and attracted almost 3 million visitors from across the UAE and beyond.
Expo Sharjah’s portfolio of events included diverse sectors including trade, real estate, manufacturing and culture. Key events included the Sharjah International Book Fair, which set an impressive record with 1.82 million visitors.
The Middle East Watch and Jewellery Fair was also held with more than 150,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors over two editions.
Other notable events included the Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition, Sharjah Property Show (ACRES), SteelFab and a number of other specialized events.
A key event on the Expo Sharjah 2024 calendar was the International Education Expo, which attracted 25,000 visitors and 125 universities and educational institutions from over 20 countries. The centre also hosted the ‘Essentials’ exhibition, dedicated to the finance and banking sector, featuring over 100 of the UAE’s leading banks and financial institutions.
Expo Sharjah has signed over 10 collaboration agreements with leading regional and global exhibition organisers. Key agreements include a partnership with MIE Events to officially launch the Evolve Future Mobility Show (EFMS) in 2025.
In addition, an agreement was signed with Pakistan-based Education Scenario International to increase the participation of Pakistani universities and educational institutions in the upcoming edition of the International Education Expo.
Expo Sharjah also signed a strategic partnership agreement with two leading providers of digital payment services and solutions, Magnati and PayRow. The agreement aims to provide advanced payment services to exhibitors and visitors and enhance their overall experience at the center’s events and activities.
In addition, Expo Sharjah hosted a delegation from Italian exhibition organizers, Artex Group, to explore ways to enhance mutual cooperation and participation of Italian exhibitors in future editions of the Middle East Watch & Jewellery Show.
The center has participated in more than 15 key global exhibitions and conferences, showcasing the range of its services and benefits to exhibitors and visitors.
Global events that Expo Sharjah participated in throughout the year include the Global Business Forum (GBF) in Bangalore, India, World Travel Market (WTM) 2024, the EdTech Conference in the UK and Cosmoprof India 2024.
The center also had a significant presence at the Global CEO Summit in Amsterdam and the UFI World Congress - the World Association of the Exhibition Industry in Cologne, Germany.
The 2024 events calendar at Expo Sharjah was distinguished by its diverse expertise and significant contribution to various economic sectors. Key events included the "Expo Culinaire", which brought together over 3,500 chefs from around the world.
