According to
Amac News: Based on the airline announcement, this new flight, known as EK654/655, has increased the capacity of the checkers on this route by 30% and will help Sri Lanka's plans to significantly increase tourist arrivals in 2025.
The service will operate daily, except Wednesdays, on flight EK654 from Dubai International Airport (DXB) until March 31, 2025. Then, from April 1, 2025, Wednesday flights will be added to this service.
The additional flight includes eight suites in first class, 42 seats in business class and 310 seats in economy class and has a total capacity of 260 passengers.
Emirates started its operations to Sri Lanka in April 1986 and since then has transported more than 12 million passengers to and from Colombo.
