Amac News: Based on the performance report of the tourism sector, Dubai has attracted 1.83 million international tourists in November 2024 alone.
In the first 11 months of this year, Western Europe was recognized as the first source of tourists to Dubai, with 3.298 million tourists, equivalent to 20% of all visitors. After that, South Asia ranks second with 2.858 million tourists and 17%.
The countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are in third place with more than 2.5 million tourists and 15% of all visitors.
Likewise, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eastern Europe have ranked fourth with 2.35 million tourists and 14% of all tourists.
The Middle East and North Africa is in fifth place with 1.933 million tourists and 12%, and East and Southeast Asia is next with 1.622 million visitors and 10%.
The number of visitors to Dubai from North America reached 117,000 people in the first 11 months of this year, which is equivalent to 7% of all visitors. Also, the number of visitors from Africa was 791,000 people (about 5 percent) and from Australia 319,000 people (about 2 percent).
The number of hotel rooms in Dubai reached 153,390 rooms in 828 accommodation units at the end of November, compared to 149,685 rooms in 820 accommodation units at the end of November 2023.
The number of hotel rooms booked in the first 11 months of last year reached more than 39.19 million, which is a 3% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The average length of stay of guests in the first 11 months of the year was 3.6 nights
The number of five-star hotel rooms reached 53,977 rooms in 168 accommodation units, which is equivalent to 35% of all hotel rooms in Dubai, while the number of four-star rooms reached 43,345 rooms in 194 units.
The number of one- to three-star hotel rooms reached 29,701 rooms in 278 accommodation units, and the number of luxury hotel apartments reached 13,944 rooms in 80 units and mid-range hotel apartments reached 12,423 rooms in 108 units.
The average daily rate (ADR) for the first 11 months was 520 dirhams, which has increased by 2% compared to 510 dirhams in 2023. Also, the average revenue per available room (RevPAR) was 405 dirhams, which increased by 3% compared to 394 dirhams in 2023.
