For the second consecutive year, Dubai has been ranked eighth globally and first in the Middle East in the 2024 Global Power of Cities Index (GPCI). This index evaluates the attractiveness of each city to attract people, capital and companies from all over the world.
Dubai maintains its position among world’s top 10 cities in GPCI index
According to Amac News: In an annual study published by the Murray Jachan Foundation, this index refers to the role of Dubai as a leader in the field of innovation, economic dynamism and global communication.
This achievement makes Dubai the only city in the Middle East to feature in the top 10, confirming its position as an important global hub for business, talent and investment.
Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, attributed this achievement to the successful leadership of the Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He also pointed to the city's flexible and advanced legal framework as one of its key factors, which is designed to foster innovation and adapt to evolving global trends.
The Global Power of Cities Index (GPCI) evaluates the world's major cities by measuring six functions—economy, research and development, cultural interaction, livability, environment, and accessibility.
