According to Amac News: Based on Emirati media report, This cooperation will be carried out under a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) in coordination with the United Arab Emirates Space Agency and other relevant institutions. This agreement is expected to be concluded and signed within a year.
The plan is part of the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative" between the two countries, which was signed in September 2022. This initiative was formed based on the results of the public-private space workshop of the UAE and Japan, which was held alongside the "Abu Dhabi Space Discussion" conference in December 2024.
This strategic partnership is aligned with UAE Space Agency initiatives, including the Space Economic Zones Program, which supports the creation and sustainability of local companies through collaboration with strategic partners.
The program focuses on creating an integrated business environment to meet local and international needs, foster innovation, and commercialize space technologies, contributing to the growth of a diverse and sustainable knowledge economy.
The two sides also discussed preparing a road map for the space industry in both countries and holding seminars to implement the road map.
