S&P Global Ratings, an internationally recognized company that evaluates the creditworthiness and financial risk of securities and their issuers, reported that in 2024, the volume of sukuk issued by issuers based in the United Arab Emirates reached $14.4 billion.
Sukuk issuance in UAE reaches $14.4 billion in 2024
According to Amac News: Mohammad Damak, General Manager and Global Head of Islamic Finance at S&P Global Ratings, said that he expects the volume of sukuk issuance in the UAE to remain around 14 to 15 billion dollars in 2025, which is due to issuance by banks and companies.
Sukuk is a type of Islamic securities designed in accordance with the principles of Shariah and allows investors to invest in specific projects or assets and, in return, benefit from the income generated by those assets.
