According to Amac News: This protocol was signed today (Wednesday, April 17) between Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar).

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company is the UAE's clean energy benchmark and develops and implements utility-scale renewable energy projects around the world.
"Aluminum plays a key role in decarburization, which is why the demand for this metal will grow by 80% by 2050," said Abdul Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Aluminum Global Emirates.
Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) produces one ton out of every 25 tons of aluminum produced worldwide. After oil and gas, the metal of this company is the largest export of the United Arab Emirates and is exported to more than 50 countries.
In 2021, the company was the first company in the world to commercially manufacture aluminum using solar energy, producing approximately 39,000 tons that year.
