Amac News: The winners included Solumar in the Sustainability category (organised by Emaar), Gam3s.GG in the Creative Industries category (supported by Emirates), Holxu in the Technology and Industry 4.0 category (supported by du), and Squirrel Education in the Education Technology category supported by Crescent Enterprises. These leading startups were recognised for their innovative solutions.
The festival also featured the prestigious SEFFY Awards, which recognise outstanding contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In this category, The Waste Lab won the Social Impact Award, Pulse IoT Technologies was recognised in the Technology category, and BEEAH Group won the Ecosystem Facilitator Award.
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), which has played a pivotal role in nurturing the UAE’s startup ecosystem, received over 400 nominations this year, reflecting the region’s growing passion for innovation.
Speaking on the importance of the UAE for entrepreneurship, Greg Pearce, Head of SME at du, said: “There is no better place for entrepreneurs to start their journey than the UAE.”
Abeer Al Amiri, Head of Partnerships and Programmes at Sheraa, also said: “Since our inception in 2026, we have supported over 450 startups, created over 1,900 jobs, generated over $248 million in revenue and secured over $271 million in investment.”
This year’s SEF featured over 300 speakers from 45 countries, 250 activities and five dynamic stages, making it the largest event of its kind in the region.
