Amac News: Based on the FTA announcement, this includes those who attended in-person events across all emirates and virtual sessions organised by the organisation. This represents an 8.7% increase from the 14,455 participants in 2023.
In 2024, the FTA began overseeing the introduction of several specialist awareness programmes aimed at educating businesses about corporate tax and the relevant regulations and requirements for taxable persons.
With the increase in the number of corporate tax registrants, the organization is intensifying its efforts to meet the information needs of businesses and support and encourage voluntary compliance with the UAE Corporate Tax Law, which came into effect in 2023.
To meet this need, the number of corporate tax awareness events sponsored by the FTA has increased significantly to 70 events in 2024, compared to only 49 in 2023. This represents a year-on-year increase of 42.9%.
In its announcement, the FTA also noted increased participant satisfaction, saying that 96 percent of participants in 2024 expressed satisfaction with the content and informative aspects of these events, compared to 94 percent in 2023.
