Amac News: The agreement was signed in the presence of Budour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of SRTI Park, and Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of the park, along with Marina Donohue, Head of Research and Innovation at the Development Agency of Ireland.
The agreement opens avenues for cooperation in the fields of advanced manufacturing, sustainability and emerging technologies, and will allow companies to access markets more effectively, given the significant growth in trade between the UAE and Ireland.
Al Mahmoudi described the partnership as a qualitative step towards strengthening trade and research relations between the UAE and Ireland, saying that SRTI Park, as a global hub, attracts innovators from various fields. He added that Ireland’s expertise in advanced manufacturing, clean technologies and precision engineering will contribute to the ecosystem.
On the other hand, Donohue stated that the agreement is a key milestone in strengthening strategic partnerships between Ireland and the Gulf countries, stressing that Sharjah is an ideal destination for Irish companies in the field of advanced manufacturing and precision engineering, opening up new horizons for research, development and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Through the agreement, both parties aim to achieve shared strategic objectives, including providing business and joint venture opportunities, companies to expand in the Sharjah and Irish markets, and launching training programs to help businesses adapt to different business environments.
