Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, has announced that negotiations for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Japan will be completed before the end of 2025.

According to Amac News, Al Zeyoudi explained in an interview with UAE media that the negotiations for the terms of the agreement reflect the commitment of both friendly countries to strengthen economic cooperation and open new horizons for development partnerships.
He said that the agreement will contribute to economic prosperity and create more opportunities for the business communities in both countries.
The Emirati official noted that his country is Japan’s largest trading partner in the Arab world in terms of exports and imports, accounting for approximately 37% of Japan’s total exports to Arab countries. At the same time, Japan is one of the UAE’s top ten trading partners.
