Amac News, Al Zeyoudi explained in an interview with UAE media that the negotiations for the terms of the agreement reflect the commitment of both friendly countries to strengthen economic cooperation and open new horizons for development partnerships.
He said that the agreement will contribute to economic prosperity and create more opportunities for the business communities in both countries.
The Emirati official noted that his country is Japan’s largest trading partner in the Arab world in terms of exports and imports, accounting for approximately 37% of Japan’s total exports to Arab countries. At the same time, Japan is one of the UAE’s top ten trading partners.
In September 2024, the UAE and Japan began discussions to reach a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which aims to open new opportunities for economic, investment and trade relations and promote development cooperation.
