Amac News, the announcement was made at a press conference attended by the official spokespersons of the Balance Council, Majid Ahmed Al Jabri, Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi and Mehra Bilal Al Dhaheri.
The exhibitions are held under the patronage of the President of the UAE, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and are organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defense and the Balance Council.
On the third day of the exhibitions, Mehra Bilal Al Dhaheri confirmed that a total of 7 contracts worth 9.66 billion dirhams had been awarded to UAE-based companies.
One of the largest contracts was with EDGE Group, with the first contract worth 1.92 billion dirhams focusing on the development of technical support systems for the naval forces.
Another contract worth 121.3 million dirhams was signed with Trust for the purchase of CBRN protective suits. EDGE Group also won a third contract worth 4.36 billion dirhams for the supply of MKs (Phase 2).
In addition, a contract was signed for the purchase of anti-jamming systems worth 227 million dirhams and a contract for the supply of TRACKED RCV unmanned ground vehicles worth 288 million dirhams.
The sixth contract was signed with International Golden Group for the purchase of E-LORAN systems worth 382 million dirhams. The latest local contract was awarded to CLS Automotive Technologies for the supply of IFV Wahsh armored vehicles, worth AED 2.36 billion.
The Balance Council also announced three international contracts worth AED 523 million. The first of these contracts was signed with the French company Eurotradia International for the supply of spare parts for Leclerc tanks, worth AED 24 million.
The second agreement was signed with the French Naval Group for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the Corvette-class ships, worth AED 472 million.
Finally, the US-based Lockheed Martin signed a contract worth AED 26.77 million to provide technical support services.
Majid Ahmed Al Jaberi, on the third day of the IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 exhibitions, stressed that the contracts signed on behalf of the UAE Ministry of Defense and security agencies demonstrate the Balance Council’s commitment to strengthening the country’s defense and security capabilities.
