The Khalifa Economic Zones Group (KEZAD) of the UAE, and Bisconni Middle East Company announced on Tuesday, February 25, the signing of a 50-year land lease agreement to establish its state-of-the-art manufacturing factory in KEZAD A.

According to Amac News, based on the announcement, the company is investing Dh110 million ($30 million) to set up a 37,000-square-meter factory in KEZAD that will produce biscuits and confectionery products.
Bisconni is part of Ismail Industries, the largest manufacturer of confectionery, biscuits and snack foods in Pakistan.

Mohammed Al Khader Al Ahmed, CEO of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD, welcomed the arrival of Bisconni to KEZAD, adding that the partnership is a significant milestone in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a regional hub for the food and confectionery industry.
Abu Dhabi says the food processing sector is of strategic importance to the emirate and KEZAD is focused on growing the industry to achieve the emirate’s food security and sustainability goals.
