The UAE Presidential Court announced Saturday, March 1, 2025, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in the country.
UAE announces Saturday as first day of Ramadan
According to Amac News, the UAE Presidential Court announced in a statement that the sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Ramadan has been confirmed, based on the decision of the Crescent Sighting Committee for the month of Ramadan, which was issued by the Emirates Fatwa Council for the year 1446 AH and met in Abu Dhabi on Friday night (29 Shaban 1446 AH). Accordingly, Saturday, March 1, 2025, will be the first day of this month in the country.
On this occasion, the highest-ranking UAE officials, including Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President  of the country, congratulated the people of the UAE and all Arab and Muslim nations on the arrival of Ramadan.
