They noted the importance of cooperation in the areas of health, poverty reduction and economic inclusion, including the empowerment of women and youth, and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities and older persons.
The Ministers appreciated the leading role of the participating countries in combating climate change and supporting international efforts in this regard, as demonstrated by the hosting of three consecutive Conferences of the Parties in Egypt (COP27), the UAE (COP28) and Azerbaijan (COP29) and the initiatives of the Action Plan to align climate action with sustainable development.
They reaffirmed their commitment to continuous dialogue and strategic policy-making to foster a long-term Arab-Central Asian-Azerbaijani economic partnership that contributes to regional development and increased prosperity for their peoples.
The Ministers appreciated the format of the LAS, Central Asia and Azerbaijan to strengthen multilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of continuing cooperation between their countries in international forums and organizations to address global economic challenges.
They emphasized the role of the platform in strengthening economic and investment relations and called for the establishment of a common database of private sector representatives from both regions to facilitate communication, strengthen industrial linkages and increase trade and investment flows.
The Ministers commended the UAE for hosting and organizing, in cooperation with the LAS General Secretariat, the first edition of the conference.
