According to Amac News: Al-Mazrouei said at the meeting of the World Economic Forum, which was hosted by Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with the theme of "Global Cooperation, Growth and Energy for Development", "In 2023, the United Arab Emirates will implement its National Hydrogen 2050 Strategy." To strengthen industries, promote climate neutrality and position the country as a leading hydrogen producer by 2031.
In this meeting, he said that the United Arab Emirates has paid attention to the production of 1.4 million tons of low polluting gases. Al-Mazrouei emphasized that the country doubled its renewable energy between 2019 and 2022 and will witness a 20% growth by 2027.
According to the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, the capacity of installed renewable energy has reached 6 gigawatts.
Al-Muzrouei said that the UAE has allocated 200 billion dirhams to invest in clean energy projects locally by 2030, which has already invested 160 billion dirhams.
In addition, the UAE has invested AED 185 billion in renewable energy projects in more than 40 countries.
He said that 20 GW capacity has been installed in the Renewable Energy Company to increase its global renewable energy capacity to 100 GW by 2030.
