The national airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, announced that the company has signed a cooperation agreement with JetBlue, New York's hometown airline.
According to Amac News: Etihad Airways has said that the agreement with JetBlue was signed at the Arab Travel Market in Dubai.
Mark Potter, CEO of Etihad Guest, said: "JetBlue has been an important partner for Etihad for almost a decade and we are delighted to extend this partnership to our loyalty programs."
"This partnership also reinforces Etihad's commitment to the US market following the recent launch of our direct service connecting Abu Dhabi and Boston, as well as the introduction of our popular A380 on the New York route and increased capacity," added Etihad Guest CEO.
"As a successful partner since 2014, we are excited to introduce loyalty benefits as part of our joint partnership with Etihad," said Christopher Buckner, JetBlue's vice president of loyalty and partnerships.
"This expanded partnership offers JetBlue True Blue and Etihad Guest members even more ways to earn and redeem on travel, making it even more valuable to explore each airline's network of top global destinations," Buckner said.
