The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) announced during the 9th session of the 11th legislative session that it discussed the policy of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority (SFRA).

According to Amac News: Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, the head of SFRA, spoke about the goals and the important role of fish resources in the revival and development of the fishing profession.
Abu Ghazin further said that SFRA, through its roles, has four goals: maintaining and developing fish resources in the UAE, achieving and developing food security; Revival and development of fishing profession and support of cooperative stores will be achieved by selling fishing materials at competitive prices.
He explained that SFRA is trying to implement visions to support fishermen and create an ideal environment for the fishing profession and its development.
