Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) has announced that it will start the evaluation phase for the 12th course entries.
According to Amac News: Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, head of EPAA, said that the 12th edition of the Sharjah Award includes 165 projects in two categories: schools and universities. He added that the festival said that the school group received 101 submitted projects and the universities received 64 projects.
Al Suwaidi emphasized the importance of sustainable development through the protection of environmental resources, wildlife, and biodiversity conservation in Sharjah.
He further stated that the award fosters the spirit of competition among students and encourages them to find and implement alternative solutions that contribute to a sustainable future.
The presented projects represent a diverse range of sustainability focus areas. School category projects cover energy and water rationalization, environmental innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), creative writing, films and green school projects.
University projects on sustainable design and construction, scientific research on sustainability for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, future energy and greenhouse gas emissions, applications of artificial intelligence for sustainability, conservation of environmental resources, and health protection Man and environment are concentrated.
