According to Amac News: This project will include two natural gas liquefaction trains with a total LNG production capacity of 9.6 million tons per year. This power plant will use electric motors instead of conventional gas turbines and will provide its energy from clean energy.
The plant is set to be the first clean-powered LNG export facility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, making it one of the lowest carbon-intensive LNG plants in the world.
The project will more than double ADNOC's LNG production capacity, aligning with global demand for natural gas and the shift toward decarburization.
