Reem Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai, announced that Expo City Dubai has been named as the host of the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) and Mayors' Forum.
According to Amac News: This exhibition, which will be held from October 27 to 29, 2025 at the Dubai Exhibition Center, will be one of the largest and most diverse gatherings of mayors, cities and world business leaders in the Middle East.
The subject of the bid was from cities all over the Asia and Pacific region. Linking the Middle East, Africa and South Asia with the wider Asia-Pacific region, the event will attract the world to shape the cities of the future.
Running for 28 years, APCS has alumni from more than 600 cities and is widely regarded as a signature event for the Asia-Pacific region, driving economic growth and deeper cooperation among cities.
The 2025 edition builds on the inaugural Sustainable Cities Forum in Action 2024 Expo City, which will share innovations and solutions and explore ways to accelerate positive urban development across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Expo City Dubai has hosted global events including Expo 2020 Dubai and the largest climate action conference, the 28th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP28) in 2023.
