According to Amac News: The RAKEZ announcement states that the award is presented by the Royal Society of Accidents (RoSPA), a British charity dedicated to saving lives and preventing life-changing injuries caused by accidents.
The RoSPA Awards program recognizes Mossat and organizations around the world for their leading role in promoting and supporting the highest standards of occupational health and safety.
RAKEZ works to protect the health and safety of everyone it can through various initiatives and standards.
The General District has established comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) regulations that apply to all work carried out within its jurisdiction.
These cover occupational safety requirements for industrial operations and health and safety for construction processes and ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
To support businesses in complying with these rules, RAKEZ provides comprehensive guides with advice and information, and hosts regular management seminars and a variety of training programs.
The RAZ is given to health and safety through schemes such as the RAKEZ HSE Appreciation Awards, which recognize businesses that show more HS&E and act as an incentive for others to seek out emulation.
Similarly, RAKEZ's latest Nujoom Al Salama program ranks businesses based on their HS&E performance, assessing regulatory compliance, accident rates and preventative health.
