Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan say that this ministry has distributed 1.3 billion Afghani to farmers in the past year to support the agriculture sector in the country.
More than one billion Afghanis have been helped to the farmers of Afghanistan
According to Amac News: Attaullah Omari, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan, said that this ministry has been able to implement 271 projects at a cost of 300 million dollars in the fields of agriculture, irrigation and livestock in the past one year.
Omari added that last year, 1.3 billion Afghani was distributed from the Ministry's Agriculture Development Fund to farmers, ranchers and the private sector in order to support the agriculture sector in Afghanistan.
He stated that this ministry is still one of the major achievements of this ministry in the fields of mechanization of the agriculture and livestock sector, protection and development of natural resources, water management from headwaters to the farm, and regulation of Afghanistan's land affairs.
Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said that this ministry has distributed 33,000 metric tons of modified wheat seeds and 54,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers to 660,000 farmers.
In this regard, Chancellor Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan said that in order to grow the agriculture and livestock sector and marketing of Afghan products, they have launched large agricultural exhibitions in the spring and autumn seasons.
Osmani added that 5 cold storage rooms with a total capacity of 1,900 metric tons have been built in Wardak, Kabul and Laghman fields and 11 cold storage rooms have been built to dry fruits and vegetables in different provinces of Afghanistan.
According to Osmani, this ministry has been able to distribute licenses for 272 new clinics in the past year, and the licenses of 2,151 clinics have been renewed.
On the other hand, Baz Mohammad Fayaz, Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan, said that the implementation of irrigation projects in 11 provinces at a total cost of 50 million Afghanis, which with the exploitation of these projects, about 6,780 hectares of land under irrigation will be placed
Fayyad added that the construction of 138 check dams in 10 provinces has been going on for the purpose of strengthening underground water, which will be completed and put into operation in the near future.
He stated that the registration of the right of ownership, evaluation and acquisition of the Khaf-Herat railway project, the transfer of the Kasa 1000 power line, the 220 KV and 500 KV projects in Herat, Jawzjan, Laghman, Baghlan, Ghazni and Faryab, and the second line of the Kabul road - Logar is one of the important functions of this ministry in the past year.
According to Fayaz, in order to implement public benefit projects in the country, this ministry has conducted a cadastral survey and purification of Tori dam, Kharwar dam, Ghoshtepe canal, Mes Aynak and Amu Sea oil fields.
However, Mahmoud Mazloum, the head of lands of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said in this program that in the past year, the ministry has been able to protect and care for 1.7 million hectares of forests and 30 million hectares of grassland in 34 provinces, and as many as 125,200 saplings have been planted in all provinces of the country to restore forests.
Officials of this ministry say that the 5-year strategy of the ministry of arrangement and legal documents, including the working procedures of various fields, has been finalized.
