Abu Dhabi launches automated express transport service

Abu Dhabi has launched the pilot phase of its Automated Rapid Transit (ART) system, which features public electric buses with a capacity of 200 passengers each.

According to Amac, quoting from Abu Dhabi Media Office: The pilot phase of the railless transportation project will include 25 stations along 27 km long routes.
In the initial phase, the service will operate from Friday to Sunday, between Reem Mall and Marina Mall, along Zayed Road 1 and Corniche Street on Abu Dhabi Island.
The ART project is part of Abu Dhabi's Smart Mobility Strategy, which aims to create an efficient and sustainable transport sector supported by advanced technologies.
