Health sources have told the media that they have registered two suspected cases of monkey pox in Kabul and Paktia.

According to Amac News: The Etilaatroz Daily, citing its sources, wrote that a girl child was admitted to the Child Health Hospital in Kabul with symptoms of monkey pox.
One of the doctors of this hospital told this newspaper that this child is a resident of Farza district of Kabul.
According to this doctor, this child visited the hospital yesterday (Monday, August 26).
Earlier, the officials of the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan said that this ministry is trying to prevent the monkey pox disease in safari areas.
Sharafat Zaman Amr Khel, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health, told the media that no positive case of this disease has been registered in Afghanistan so far.
These concerns are raised while Pakistani media have reported that following the identification of a case of monkey pox in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered the health authorities to closely control the situation.
It has also added to this concern by deporting a flood of Afghan immigrants from Pakistan.
The World Health Organization (WHO) asked the people and health experts of the countries, especially the vulnerable countries, to adapt the pre-determined vaccines to prevent further spread of this virus.
Earlier, the world media had reported that the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the outbreak of monkey pox in parts of Africa as a global health emergency.
Monkey pox is an infectious and contagious disease, and its initial symptoms include fever, headache, back pain, muscle pain, and general malaise, and with the onset of fever, skin inflammations and smallpox appear on the face and then on other parts of the body, usually the palms and soles of the feet. It spreads and is accompanied by severe itching.
