The Vice Chairman of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber highlighted Dubai's strengths and how to enhance the emirate's position as a preferred destination for entrepreneurs around the world and a global capital for the digital economy.
He noted that the emirate continues to work proactively to support the growth of digital companies and strengthen its position as a global capital for the digital economy.
He also emphasized the importance of Dubai as a vital platform for expansion and growth in various international markets, thanks to its extensive logistical connections with all continents and its diverse social environment.
The Vice Chairman of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber confirmed that Dubai's unique business ecosystem, which while supporting the spirit of innovation and excellence, promotes the growth and success of companies and entrepreneurs, along with the advanced infrastructure and favorable legal framework for the digital sectors, is important.
He spoke about the opportunities offered by App Olympics, an initiative of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber aimed at innovators from different age groups and countries.
 In addition to a prize including a package of services worth $150,000 to develop the winning mobile apps and participation in a six-month mentoring program after the competition, App Olympics also offers financial rewards.
The initiative, overseen by the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber, seeks to train more than 1,000 Emiratis in the fundamentals of coding, building mobile applications and building business models through the Emirates Education Academy.
The Dubai Digital Economy Chamber plans to triple the number of app developers in Dubai by 2025 and support 100 new national projects to develop mobile applications.
