Amac News: This news was announced at the China International Forum on Reforms, as part of the official visit of the UAE delegation led by Mohammad Al-Zarouni, the head of World FZO, who was the main speaker of this forum.
During this visit, a hosting agreement was signed between Al-Zarouni and Liu Rutao, Deputy Director General of International Economic Development Bureau of Hainan Province, China, to host the next FZO World Congress in China.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed in this meeting between Al-Zarouni and Chi Fulin, the head of the China Reform and Development Institute, for the purpose of establishing a free zone institute and expanding research and development.
Al-Zarouni said that the creation of free zones will develop exports, create jobs and provide flexible frameworks for investment, entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.
The head of the World Free Zones Organization said in this meeting that holding the 11th FZO Congress in China is an important milestone in the joint commitment of the UAE to promote global economic development through free zones.
He also mentioned China's commitment to high-level economic growth and cited initiatives such as the Hainan Free Trade Port as examples.
Al-Zarouni noted that the goal of the World Free Zones Organization is to create a comprehensive framework for a more open, interconnected and prosperous future for all.
The FZO 2025 World Congress is set to bring together industry leaders, policy makers and stakeholders from around the world, providing a powerful platform to advance the organization's mission, share key insights and address the challenges shaping the global economy.
