Amac News: Based on the Space42 announcement, the aim of this campaign is to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists, engineers and space enthusiasts in order to launch their next generation transportation system, the Thuraya 4 satellite.
This educational campaign invites students from schools under the supervision of the UAE Ministry of Education to visit Yahsat's space service facilities across the UAE.
Ali Al Hashemi, CEO of Yahsat Space Services and Space42, said the initiative was part of a campaign ahead of the launch of the company's next-generation satellite, Thuraya 4, and aimed to encourage students to interact more with Sanis.
During these tours, students learn about operations at the satellite control center, interact with engineers, and understand the intricacies of satellite technology. There will also be interactive workshops, presentations and question and answer sessions.
The campaign seeks to inspire students by providing a glimpse into possible career paths in the space and technology industries, encouraging them to pursue further education in STEM fields.
It also seeks to connect students with the UAE's achievements in space exploration and technology and enhance their understanding of their role in a global context.
Yahsat Space Services and Control Center in Abu Dhabi will host students from grades 7 to 9 for six weeks at a weekly school from October to November 2024.
