Seyed Hossein Mirshafiee, the representative of the Iranian Ministry of Roads in Afghanistan, announced that the Chabahar railway project to Afghanistan is expected to be operational by next year.

According to Amac News: This Iranian official made these statements during an interview with an Iranian media outlet on Sunday, November 27.
He also stated that Afghan traders can export their goods from the Herat station to various destinations in Iran, Turkey, and European countries.
So far, officials from the interim government of Afghanistan have not commented on the implementation of this project.
The construction of the 628-kilometer Zahirabad-Chabahar railway line began in 2020. This railway was established to connect Chabahar port to the city of Zahirabad in Iran and subsequently to Afghanistan and other Asian countries.
Currently, most rail transfers occur between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.
