The Arab League announced on Wednesday, December 11, that the 27th meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Tourism was held at the General Secretariat of the League in Cairo.

According to Amac News: Based on a statement from the Arab League, this meeting was held under the chairmanship of Oman and with the presence of tourism ministers from Arab countries or their representatives.
The UAE delegation, led by Abdul Rahman Al-Mayani, Deputy Minister of Economy in the Intellectual Property Rights Department of this country, participated in this meeting.
Based on the statement, this meeting discussed issues related to the development of the tourism sector in Arab countries.
In this meeting, the Council of Arab Tourism Ministers discussed ambitious plans for the development of tourism in Arab countries and emphasized the key role of this sector in supporting the gross domestic product of these countries, improving the balance of payments and increasing domestic and foreign currency resources.
This council also emphasized the importance of creating new direct and indirect job opportunities in this sector and its impact on urban expansion and the creation of tourist and residential attractions.
The meeting discussed the development of a joint tourism region under the title "Arab Tourism Region", tourism innovations and promotion of smart tourism, and the strengthening of joint tourism cooperation between Arab countries.
In addition, in this meeting, the strengthening of economic information capabilities in the tourism sector, the preparation of tourism guides for people in need, the selection of the Arab tourism capital for 2025, and the integration of tourism with culture and cultural heritage in Arab countries were discussed.
The meeting also discussed the establishment of the "Arab Youth Forum for Tourism", the implementation of the Arab tourism strategy, and the promotion of tourism cooperation between Arab countries, which will contribute to economic development and the realization of regional tourism integration.
