Amac News: The aim of this partnership is to strengthen local capabilities in the design and manufacture of advanced radar systems, develop new technologies, increase production capacity, transfer knowledge and experience to local specialists, create new business opportunities in international markets and strengthen national security through the provision of advanced defense systems.
The agreement for this joint venture was signed by the CEOs of the two companies in Madrid. Senior Spanish officials and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the country also attended the signing ceremony of this agreement.
According to this partnership, "PULSE" will engineer, develop, manufacture, integrate and maintain radar systems and their components on the one hand, and market these products in high-potential markets on the other.
The agreement will lead to the creation of two companies. The first company, owned 50.01% by Indra and 49.99% by EDGE, will focus on the development, design, integration, sales and maintenance of advanced radars. The second company, owned 50.01% by EDGE and 49.99% by Indra, will be responsible for the production of radars in a new advanced factory in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership is designed to increase radar production and sales capacity, provide new radar capabilities to the UAE, and train and develop local professionals.
The company is expected to initially employ Indra’s specialist experts and Emirati staff, including recent graduates and young professionals.
