The Kuwaiti government approved a draft law yesterday, Tuesday, December 24, that will impose a 15% tax on multinational companies that operate in more than one country or state.

According to Amac News: The decision was made during the weekly cabinet meeting held at Bayan Palace under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The law, which is in line with global tax standards, aims to reduce tax evasion and prevent tax revenues from being sent to other countries.
According to a statement issued after the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sherida Al-Moserchi, the law will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
