According to the National Weather Service (NWS), more than 60 million people in the United States are preparing for the first major winter storm in 2025.

According to Amac News: This storm has spread from the central plains to the eastern coast and brings heavy snow, freezing rain and strong storms.
The NWS is warning of significant travel disruptions due to snow and ice, particularly along the Interstate 70 corridor that passes through major cities such as St. Louis and Indianapolis.
In response to the worsening weather conditions, states including Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas have declared states of emergency.
In central Kansas, icy roads have led to several truck accidents and highway closures. Kansas City International Airport was also temporarily closed due to icy conditions and several flights were delayed.
