The University of Sharjah (UoS) has announced its participation in the British Educational Training and Technology Conference and Exhibition (BETT 2025), which held in London from January 20 to 24.

According to Amac News: The university participated as part of the official Sharjah delegation coordinated by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SEPA).
The event was also attended by representatives from the UAE’s Khorfakkan, Kalba and Al Dhaid universities.
During the event, the University of Sharjah introduced its new e-services and presented key pillars of its strategic plan (2024-2030) in the field of educational technology and digital transformation.
The University of Sharjah said that the participation underscores the university’s commitment to adopting and implementing the most advanced technology, enhancing the quality of education and fostering active engagement between students and faculty.
Abbas Amira, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences at the University of Sharjah, described the university’s participation in BETT as a crucial step in supporting the university’s EDGE strategy, which emphasizes digital transformation, innovation and academic excellence.
He added that the partnership will provide opportunities to explore advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and metaverse, foster innovation in education and introduce new solutions.
On the other hand, Sharifa Al Marzooqi, Director of the Emirates Media Center, noted that the partnership reflects the University of Sharjah’s efforts to modernize teaching methods in line with global trends towards the use of artificial intelligence.
