The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced that discussions are underway with OMV AG to create a new global polyolefins group by combining its existing stakes in Borouge plc and Borealis AG.

According to Amac News: Based on the ADNOC announcement, the company is also considering the acquisition of Nova Chemicals Corporation from Exchange Investment Company and participation in the combined entity.
The transactions are subject to relevant agreements, regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
