According to Amac News; The World Food Program published a newsletter on X and said that this organization has built nearly 470 kilometers of water channels in different provinces of Afghanistan.
According to the newsletter of this institution, farmers in Afghanistan cannot continue their lives without access to water.
WFP added that water canals have helped farmers to feed their families.
However, Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, also said that following the recent rains, the water level in the country has increased and most of the dams have been filled with water.
According to him, the increase in the water level causes the growth of the agriculture sector and the increase in the amount of electricity production in the country.
