The President of the Arab Parliament made these remarks at the opening of the conference “The Arab Dialogue Map on Artificial Intelligence in the Arab World: Innovative Applications and Ethical Challenges,” which began yesterday, Sunday, February 3, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
It is also worth noting that the conference was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Arab League, and was attended by diplomatic, scientific and specialized figures.
In his speech, Al-Yamahi also said that building an Arab AI system that is based on innovation and sustainability requires strong cooperation between governments, scientific institutions, and the private sector, in addition to a strong legal and regulatory framework that strikes a balance between technological creativity and ethical responsibility.
