UN Secretary-General's Representative in Afghanistan, discussed with Indian Foreign Minister about addressing the current challenges in Afghanistan.

According to Amac News; The representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Afghanistan (UNAMA) wrote in X this morning (Thursday, April 18) that the representative of the Secretary-General of this organization, Roza Otunbayeva, met with the Indian Foreign Minister Jay Shankar in New Delhi regarding the importance of regional and international cooperation to address the current challenges. He has discussed in Afghanistan.
UNAMA has written that the Secretary General of the United Nations in Afghanistan has welcomed New Delhi's support and friendship with the Afghan people.
These two high-ranking officials are meeting and discussing while the United Nations has said in its annual report on Afghanistan that it has provided food aid to 13 million Afghans in 2023. This organization has said that after August 2021, it has saved millions of Afghans from famine and prevented the country's economy from collapsing.
The report states that the earthquakes in Herat and the return of Afghan immigrants from neighboring countries have been the biggest challenges of 2023, and this shows that Afghanistan needs stable international support.
In this report, Indrika Ratwathe, Deputy Director of UNAMA and UN Humanitarian Aid Coordinator in Afghanistan, claimed that access to food is the biggest problem of Afghans and in 2024, nearly 16 million people in Afghanistan will face food insecurity.
Ratawateh added that in 2024 they will adhere to their commitments to human rights and equal access to education in Afghanistan.
