During the Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX 2025), the UAE unveiled the Al Taf missile boat at the Marina pier in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

According to Amac News, this vessel, measuring 62 meters in length, features advanced defense capabilities and cutting-edge technologies, including sophisticated navigation and surveillance systems, integrated protection systems against land and aerial threats, extensive electronic warfare capabilities, automated control systems, and next-generation smart weaponry. These capabilities enhance the operational readiness and flexibility of the vessel to counter various threats in diverse maritime environments.
Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, who unveiled the missile boat, stated that Al Taf is a strategic addition to the naval defense capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces. Sheikh Hazza praised the significant advancements of the UAE in naval defense industries, noting that these developments have been made possible through the support of President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He emphasized the importance of investing in the development of defense systems, strengthening strategic partnerships, and enhancing technological leadership in this vital sector.
The UAE asserts that the Al Taf missile boat is part of the broader strategy to enhance its naval capabilities, equipping its armed forces with advanced vessels featuring state-of-the-art defense systems and technologies.
NAVDEX and IDEX 2025 are defense and military events hosted by the UAE, which the country describes as the largest defense exhibitions in the world.
