According to Amac News, the partnership, which demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to becoming a global leader in aerospace, will also significantly contribute to the country’s economy.
The project, announced at the IDEX 2025 exhibition, will establish the first-of-its-kind engine MRO facility in the MENA and South Asia regions.
The state-of-the-art facility has been developed by Sanad, a leading Emirati MRO company, in partnership with Pratt & Whitney — a global leader in aerospace technologies — and will provide comprehensive MRO services.
Nasser Hamid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Balanced Council, said that the Council is committed to a strong national vision for industrial growth and emphasizes the development of the UAE’s sovereign capabilities in the aerospace sector.
On the other hand, Bakhit Al Katiri, CEO of the UAE Investment Platform Mubadala, said: “We are building national champions in the aerospace sector and are working with global institutions such as Pratt Whitney to accelerate the transformation of Abu Dhabi’s economy.”
Ismail Ali Abdullah, Executive Director of Emirati Clusters at the UAE Investment Platform Mubadala, also said that this MRO collaboration between Mubadala, the Balanced Council and Pratt Whitney is an important step in the economic transformation of the UAE.
