A delegation of Dubai leaders from 14 government entities continued their strategic visit to Shenzhen, organized by the Dubai Chambers of Commerce and Industry Executive Office.
Dubai delegation continues strategic visit to Shenzhen
According to Amac News, the visit, which is scheduled to end tomorrow, Thursday, February 27, aims to explore best practices in advanced facilities and leading global companies in China.
The delegation conducted field visits to institutions specializing in investment, innovation, technology and urban planning. Its members met with Chinese officials to discuss cooperation opportunities in the fields of artificial intelligence, high-tech, institutional innovation, sustainability, smart cities and emerging sectors.
The visit also seeks to establish long-term strategic partnerships with key institutions in Shenzhen, which will deepen bilateral relations between Dubai and China and strengthen knowledge exchange and economic cooperation.
The delegation is also working to attract Chinese multinationals, unicorns and high-growth startups to Dubai, expanding trade and investment opportunities for both markets.
Shenzhen is recognized as a global leader in innovation and high-tech. Its strategic location and high-quality infrastructure have made it a hub for large companies.
The Dubai leadership aims to leverage Shenzhen’s expertise to enhance economic and technological cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Agency, which facilitates local and foreign investments by providing market insights, streamlining legal processes and offering economic incentives. The delegation reviewed Shenzhen’s strategies for attracting startups and high-tech companies and discussed investment opportunities between Dubai and Shenzhen.
The delegation also visited Tencent, a global leader in the Internet and technology solutions. Founded in 1998, the company has a strong presence in the Gulf markets, particularly in the gaming sector.
The visit also included a tour of the Phoenix Wings Smart Logistics Center, which integrates artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics into logistics solutions.
In addition, the delegation visited the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, one of the world’s largest exhibition venues, covering 1.6 million square meters, including 500,000 square meters of exhibition space.
The delegation includes representatives from the Executive Office, Dubai Chambers of Commerce, Dubai Future Foundation, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Land Authority, Dubai Economic Security Centre, Digital Dubai, Dubai Economic Development Authority, World Government Summit Organization, Dubai Authority for Culture and Arts, Dubai Authority for Finance, Dubai Holding and TECOM Group.
