The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) announced that it has hosted NASA's Moon to Mars Architecture workshop at the Etihad Museum in Dubai on February 25-26.
UAE hosts NASA’s Moon to Mars Architecture Workshop in Dubai
According to Amac News, based on the announcement, the MBRSC brought together a group of global space leaders to discuss the future of human space exploration.
The workshop brought together representatives from prestigious space agencies, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the French National Space Agency (CNES), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and other international partners, and strengthened the UAE's role as a strategic hub for cooperation in space science and technology.
During the two-day workshop, participants participated in sessions on fundamental exploration capabilities, lunar mobility, energy infrastructure and logistics for future missions.
NASA also provided updates on the architectural concept review and explored the latest developments and areas for future collaboration.
On behalf of MBRSC, Amer Al Sayegh Al Ghafri, Deputy Director General for Aerospace Engineering, and Adnan Al Rayes, Deputy Director General for Space Operations and Exploration, participated in keynote discussions with global experts.
Adnan Al Rayes said that hosting the NASA workshop reaffirms the Bin Rashid Space Center’s commitment to shaping human space exploration through global strategic partnerships.
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating space agencies to strengthen collaboration and advance joint initiatives that will help enhance mission readiness, technology capabilities, and scientific research for future missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
