According to Amac News: Dr. Thani bin Ahmad Al-Zayoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, and Sansoles Garcia, Ecuador's Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, signed the economic agreement today (Wednesday, April 24) in Quito.
Agreement (CEPA) between the United Arab Emirates and Ecuador, as part of the visit of the delegation of the United Arab Emirates to a country including Latin America.
According to this, both countries intend to start partnership for comprehensive economic partnership.
The partnership comes after the UAE signed similar deals with Costa Rica and Colombia last week.
The purpose of this partnership is to increase non-oil bilateral trade and increase the flow of investment between the two countries.
By eliminating trade in goods and services, this partnership will create economic opportunities for each country in the areas of production and development and allow Ecuadorian companies to take advantage of the UAE's economic strength.
Bilateral non-oil trade between the United Arab Emirates and Ecuador will increase to $675 million in 2023, a 76 percent increase over last year.
