The United Arab Emirates has said that it will send hundreds of tons of food to Gaza in order to expand humanitarian aid to the people of Nawaz Gaza and deal with the humanitarian crisis.
According to Amac News: The United Arab Emirates has sent 400 tons of food to Ashdod port through Larnaca, Cyprus, and from there to the Gaza Strip this morning (Sunday, April 28).
The UAE said it will continue to explore all possible ways to deliver immediate humanitarian aid and food to the Strip by land, air and sea.
Reem Bint Ebrahim Al-Hashemi, Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation, said: "The UAE is willing to work with all its partners in the international community to help civilians in the Gaza Strip who are suffering from dire humanitarian conditions."
In his speech, Al-Hashemi added: The United Arab Emirates remains committed to supporting all humanitarian efforts alongside the international community to reduce the crisis, and appreciates the support of the Cyprus government and the Amaltia initiative in this regard.
The United Arab Emirates has sent more than 31,000 tons of emergency equipment including food, relief and medical supplies to Nawaz Gaza through 250 flights, 38 planes, 1160 trucks and three ships.
