Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced that it will hold the Sharjah-India Business Conference following the completion of the first phase of its business mission in India.

According to Amac news: Sharjah-India business conference will be held in Chennai, the fourth most populous city in India.
The delegation of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that in the agenda of this forum, more than 160 bilateral business meetings were held with representatives of companies and more than 100 Indian companies in Chennai representing various sectors and economic activities.
This conference is organized to increase the presence of Emirati companies in the Indian market, open new export channels for them and facilitate perfect communication for key stakeholders in India in various sectors.
Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that bilateral trade between the two countries is expected to reach 250 billion dollars by 2030. The UAE is also India's seventh largest investor, with a total investment of around $18 billion by 2023.
He pointed to the significant growth of bilateral non-oil trade between the two countries, which increased to 50.5 dollars from May 2022 to April 2023, a significant increase of 5.8 percent compared to the previous year.
The meeting with the representatives of Madras Chennai Electricity Traders Association was held as part of SCCI's trade mission to India.
Both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Sharjah Chamber and the Association, strengthen communication mechanisms and exchange information on investment opportunities available in both countries in the fields of energy and electrical industries.
The SCCI business delegation also held a business meeting with "Guidance Tamil Nadu", the investment promotion agency of the Government of Tamil Nadu in India. In this meeting, ways to strengthen economic cooperation and investment between the two countries were discussed.
SCCI's trade mission to India will enter its second leg in Mumbai, where a business forum will be held with delegation members, officials and leaders of chambers of commerce and industry.
